Hi, we are Eric and Larry, two brother-in-laws that share a passion for sauna.
Our Mission: provide residents of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and beyond with a well-built sauna for well-built lives.
The Driving Force: Our Finnish ancestors relied on traditional Nordic saunas for their health. We want to build a sauna for your health. Numerous medical studies have proven that saunas’ health and wellness benefits allow the human body to recover faster after workouts. Whether your workout is traditional, playing sports, or shoveling your house roof, your body will thank you as you enjoy the benefits of a Copper Country Sauna.

Hi, my name is Eric. The Finn is in my last name, and the desire for quality is in my eyes.
For many years at the beginning of my career, I labored in the Keweenaw as a masonry worker. Of course, after long days of laying concrete or setting block, I would relax my muscles in a traditional wood-fired sauna.
Growing up in a big family, the sauna was as much a tool as it was a luxury. It provided a great way to save money with bucket washing instead of using hot water from the tank, and it also taught us hard work. Dad would fell the tree, and we all hauled the wood to the truck to unload it at the woodshed. As we grew older, we would also be tasked with splitting and stacking the wood.
After 15 years in the construction industry, I recently decided enough was enough, and now is the time to plunge into something I’ve always wanted to do.
I am excited about the entrepreneurial journey. Additionally, living a healthy life and getting the most out of life is my passion, and I hope to pass that along to you through the sauna experience.
Taking my construction experience and the tips and tricks passed down from my ancestors for sauna building, I assure you that our saunas can be standing and beautiful for YOUR next generation. We use only high-quality products, and our sauna designs will be customized to your needs. Traditionally, Finnish people use a lot of water in the sauna. That’s what I grew up on. We will design your sauna in the best possible way to ensure it does not rot. Proper design and ventilation are crucial to making sure saunas do not rot.
We very much lived off the ol’ saying: “He who makes his own wood, is twice warmed.”

Hi – I am Larry Anderson, the proud owner of five saunas.
That’s right, five. Why? The reason is simple, a day without a sauna feels like I’ve been ripped off! It just doesn’t sit well with me. I spend a lot of time outdoors hunting, fishing, and camping. After all that activity, well, I need a sauna. When the terrain allows it, I bring my trailer sauna on adventures. And when it doesn’t? I bring my homemade tent sauna!
Sauna is a way of life for me, and like most residents of Michigan’s Copper Country, I appreciate it every time! The first steam hits, my muscles relax, and that unique sauna sigh™ comes out every time.
I designed and fabricated my tent sauna, even down to sewing the canvas to fit the heavy-duty tent poles. You may have guessed it, and yes, I have spent most of my career as a welder/fabricator. After working for my brother for three years here in the Keweenaw and growing the company by several employees, my brother and I decided it would make sense if I purchased the company to have ownership and take the business to the next level.
